From Edmonton, Alberta, Douglas Mitchell, fronts the band Vera & hosts a local TV show Edmonton Unplugged that spotlights local musicians & bands. He also is engaged in creative writing and photography. The majority of his art is inspired by a desire to connect and show our common experience.

The Rural Routes are an eclectic acoustic duo based in Alberta, Canada, covering a wide variety of music from the fifties to today. Engaging vocal performance paired with backing harmonies and dynamic guitar work present a stripped down evening of entertainment with unique renditions and inventive original compositions.
